The Rhodesian Ridgeback is an aggressive hunter, but will be calm and gentle in your home. They will do well with children as long as they as not pestered or played with roughly. If left unsupervised this dog can be very destructive. They make good watchdogs but not good guard dogs. They are very protective of their family.

The males will stand 25-27 inches and weigh between 80-90 pounds. Females will stand 24-26 inches and weigh 65-75 pounds. This dog will do okay in an apartment but a large yard is better. They need to be able to run and you will most likely tire out before they do. Their coat is short and needs to be brushed occasionally, shampooing only when needed.

The Rottweiler will protect their family fiercely. They are very strong fighters. Unless this dog is trained properly you can end up with an aggressive and very powerful dog. If proper training is given the Rottweiler can be very loving and loyal. This dog needs plenty of exercise. They love to run, swim and play retrieve. They will do fine in an apartment but a home with a large yard is best. Males will be 24-27 inches in height and weigh 95-130 pounds. Females will be 22-25 inches and weigh 85-115 pounds. Their coats can be brushed occasionally and given a bath only when needed.
