This breed originated in Tibet and bears close resemblance to the Pekingese. They are small dogs standing only 10 inches and weighing 9-15 pounds. The Tibetan Spaniel is a great family companion; they are protective of their family, especially children. Their small size makes them great pets for apartments. They will get plenty of exercise with indoor play but love a long walk. Regular brushing is needed for their coat, once a year the coat will fall out in clumps.

The Tibetan Terrier is a loving and sweet dog. They will be very dedicated to their owners and don’t like being left alone. Both genders will be 14-17 inches and weigh 18-30 pounds. This high-energy dog will do fine in an apartment as long as they have plenty of opportunities to run and play. Their coat should be brushed every 2-3 days.
