Weighing between 2-6 pounds and only 6-9 inches in height Chihuahuas are the smallest breed of dog in the world. They are great companion dogs. Lively, proud and intensely loyal, to the point were they can become jealous if not enough attention is paid to them. Since it is so small it has been known to snap at small children who tease him.

They do great in homes or apartments. A walk is all the exercise he will need. Since he is so small they don't like to be cold. If you live in a colder climate a sweater will do him well. He has a short coat that can be brushed occasionally.
